The United States has imposed new significant sanctions against Russian oil

The USA announced new sanctions that will hit the oil refining industry of the aggressor country, Russia.

This was reported by the press service of the US Department of the Treasury.

The document mentions the imposition of sanctions against the companies "Gazprom Neft" and "Surgutneftegaz".

The restrictions also concern the vessels of the company "Sovcomflot", which is the largest in the Russian Federation.

183 vessels involved in the export of Russian energy resources and part of the so-called Russian "shadow fleet" have been blacklisted.

The structure of "Rosneft" — "Rosnefteflot" — was also sanctioned.

In addition, sanctions were imposed against Russian insurance companies "Ingosstrakh" and "AlfaStrakhovanie".

Dozens of Russian officials from the energy sector and company executives were also subjected to restrictions.
