
On the evening of Monday, January 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced new sanctions against the financial sector of the Russian Federation. The sanctions cover 140 entities.

"Today, I signed documents on sanctions. A decree on the imposition of sanctions against the financial sector of Russia. 140 different entities. We will continue to work with partners to coordinate our pressure," Zelenskyy noted.
He emphasized that sanctions are one of the most effective tools for exerting fair pressure on Russia and all those connected to it or working to wage war.
In decree No. 24, it is stated that the new sanctions are imposed against both legal and physical persons involved in the economy of the Russian Federation.
