The Commander-in-Chief acknowledged that there is a need for personnel at the front line.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, who issued an order to halt the transfer of highly qualified Air Force specialists to the infantry, simultaneously noted that the current mobilization rates do not meet the army’s needs.

He stated this during an interview with military journalist Andriy Tsapliyenko.

Actions are currently being taken to reduce the logistical component, supply, and maintenance in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but within "reasonable limits," the commander-in-chief noted.

"My order prohibits the transfer of highly qualified personnel who have been trained and specialize specifically in aircraft maintenance. Undoubtedly, these are specialists who have required resources, who have experience, and who are practically irreplaceable," said Syrskyi.

At the same time, he acknowledged that there is a need for personnel at the front line.

"We must increase the appropriate number of personnel in our mechanized brigades, but the needs and possibilities of mobilization, unfortunately, do not cover this requirement," noted Syrskyi.

According to him, the headquarters understand these tasks.

"Calculations have been made. And, of course, our task is not to allow... anyone from this category, which I mentioned (those prohibited from being transferred to the infantry - ed.), to end up at the front line," assured Syrskyi.
