The Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped the advance of the occupiers near Pokrovsk
Servicemen of the 425th Assault Battalion "Skala" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully cleared the positions of Russian troops and disrupted their plans to advance towards the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
This was reported by the press service of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia".
The operation began with a powerful strike by a Ukrainian tank, which was the first to advance. The tank destroyed key positions of the occupying forces, paving the way for further actions by the assault units.
The fighters of the "Skala" battalion thoroughly cleared the area, eliminating Russian military personnel trying to hide in trenches and semi-destroyed buildings. Thanks to the precision and coordination of actions, the Ukrainian defenders fully accomplished the assigned task.
After clearing the positions, a group was brought in to reinforce the defence, allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strengthen the lines and prevent repeated enemy attempts to advance in this direction.
The operation near Pokrovsk is of strategic importance. It allowed stopping the advance of Russian forces in one of the crucial directions in the Donetsk region. The actions of the tank unit and assault forces of the "Skala" battalion again demonstrate the high level of training and fighting spirit of the Ukrainian army.
The "Khortytsia" troop group expressed gratitude to the fighters for their courage and professionalism, which help bring Ukraine’s victory closer.
