In the Zaporizhzhya direction, hostilities remain tense: the enemy conducts combined attacks, shelling, raids by FPV drones, and drones with drop systems. However, the frontline remains stable.
This is reported by the publication ArmyInform with reference to the head of the communications department of the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Dmytro Pelykh, reports 061.
According to Pelykh, the enemy not only uses FPV drones but also increasingly employs drones controlled by fiber optics. The Ukrainian Defence Forces actively respond: drones are widely used for reconnaissance, attacks, and even capturing prisoners.
One of the most captivating stories of the week was the capture of a Russian soldier using a drone. Dmytro Pelykh recounted how the occupier, realizing his hopelessness, raised his hands and followed the Ukrainian drone.
«Assessing his strength and physical condition, he raised his hands and followed our drone. They know they are expendable, and there is no way back for them. They confirm this to us themselves,» Pelykh noted.
