Military assistance of 2 billion pounds: Ukraine ratifies agreement with Britain
The Government of Ukraine will submit to Parliament a bill on the ratification of the Framework Agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom. The agreement is aimed at enhancing the defense capabilities of the countries.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"According to the agreement, the United Kingdom will provide us with up to £2 billion to purchase air defense systems, missiles for air defense, and to set up repair bases for military equipment and other weaponry," noted Shmyhal.
He stated that such bases will also be located in Ukraine. The provided funds will significantly strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
"We express our gratitude to the government and people of the United Kingdom for their support on the path to our victory," declared the Prime Minister.
