At the court hearing, Vadym Kuzub, suspected of killing a TRC employee, admitted his guilt and explained the motives behind the crime.
According to him, he was trying to help a relative of his common-law wife avoid mobilization. Initially, he only wanted to scare the military personnel, but when that didn’t work, he fired a shot. Kuzub claims he didn’t intend to kill and hoped that he only injured the victim.
The court has taken Kuzub into custody until April 1 without the possibility of bail. Soon, the court will consider the preventive measure for the second suspect, Yevhen Shcherbak, who is accused of obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
