The Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted the Russian fake about the complete occupation of Toretsk

On the afternoon of February 7, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced the capture of Toretsk by the forces of three motorized rifle brigades and volunteers.

However, as reported by the spokesperson of the Operational-Strategic Group of Troops "Khortytsia" Nazar Voloshyn, battles are currently ongoing in the urban areas of Toretsk.

He noted that as of 16:00, the enemy attacked eight times in the Toretsk direction. Currently, four battles are ongoing.

"The enemy is using all forces and means to defeat us... considering that they have numerical superiority and employ ’assault meat’ in their attacks (even disposable soldiers sent one-way for assaults - if they reach a certain point, they wait and gather a certain number of personnel for an assault), as well as on the information front (using the dissemination of hostile IPSO)," explained Voloshyn.

According to the analytical project DeepState, the information about the enemy’s occupation of Toretsk is not accurate - urban battles are ongoing, and the Defence Forces continue to resist the enemy.

According to their information, the Defence Forces of Ukraine continue the defensive operation in Toretsk. Battles are currently taking place in the Zabalka district, as well as on the northern and western outskirts. The city center is almost completely under enemy control.

At the same time, fighters of the "Khyzhak" patrol police brigade reported that they are holding the defense in Toretsk.

"Food and water are delivered to them by drones. There are only a few meters to the Russian soldiers here. The mission is to quickly collect the cargo under the cover of a comrade. Basement, trench candles, and vigilance 24/7 - these are the daily routines of the Ukrainian defenders," the police noted.
