Russia attacked Ukraine with 139 drones: Air defence shot down 67 UAVs

On the night of February 8, Russia launched 139 drones at Ukraine. Air defence destroyed less than half of them.

This became known with reference to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"On the night of February 8, the enemy carried out an attack using 139 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of simulacrum drones from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, Shatalovo," the statement said.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled the air attack.

"As of 09:00, the downing of 67 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other drones was confirmed," the military added.

Air defence operated in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Odesa regions.

Additionally, 71 enemy simulacrum drone was location-wise lost.
