In Chernihiv, a man was detained who attacked an employee of the TRC

In Chernihiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who attacked a TRC and SS serviceman.

This was reported by the National Police on Monday, February 10th.

It is noted that the incident took place on February 6th on one of the streets in Chernihiv. At that time, TRC SS staff were conducting citizen notifications.

"An unknown man refused to present documents for verification, behaved aggressively, aimed a telescopic baton at one of the soldiers, then sprayed pepper spray in his face and fled," the statement said.

Police quickly identified the suspect — he turned out to be a 43-year-old local resident. After the incident, the man locked himself in his apartment. Special police battalion fighters came to him. The man was detained. During a search, they found a telescopic baton, almost 1 kg of cannabis, and about 200 rounds of various calibers.

The suspect was charged under two articles of the Criminal Code, and another notice is being prepared. He faces a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
