General Nayev is being sent to the position of tactical group commander, — journalist

This was reported by sources of the publication "Censor.Net", notes Butusov.

We remind you that in February 2024, Serhiy Nayev claimed that he learned from media sources about his dismissal from the position of commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which he had held since 2020. Since then, the general remained at the disposal of the Minister of Defence, without a regular position in the army.

As Butusov notes, now the supreme commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has given Nayev a new appointment.

Butusov linked this with Nayev’s recent interview, where he, in particular, criticized the legal proceedings regarding former commanders of the Armed Forces.

According to the journalist, Nayev, after receiving the order, noted that it cannot be immediately executed because the position of commander of the tactical group is an ad-hoc one, and for this appointment, one needs to have a regular position in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Zelenskyy was not aware of this, and everyone rushed to fulfill his emotional command that no one considered the details. Now the Ministry of Defence and the President’s Office are looking for a solution, which position to grant Nayev to send him to the tactical group," noted Butusov.

Currently, neither the President’s Office nor the military leadership has provided comments on this matter.
