Poroshenko responded to the NSDC’s decision on sanctions against him, accusing Zelenskyy of creating a "Putin-like regime" in Ukraine.
According to him, "the NSDC made an unconstitutional, politically motivated decision."
"This crime has many accomplices: the entire Zelenskyy team, the Cabinet of Ministers, which was bent on an absurd submission, members of his NSDC. But the client, executor, and signatory are one - personally Zelenskyy," Poroshenko wrote on his Telegram channel.
Poroshenko accused Zelenskyy of "completely ignoring the army’s problems during the first three years of his presidency," and of "ignoring all intelligence data from allies about the imminent invasion for five months before the invasion, not preparing for war himself, not preparing the army and the country, hiding information from the people that concerns the safety of everyone," as well as "corruption amid great bloodshed."
"He is looking for someone to shift the responsibility for his tragic mistakes. That is why he launched a campaign of accusations against Western partners. That is why he ordered the imprisonment of combat commanders. And here, without Poroshenko - no way," the ex-president wrote.
He stated that "in the deep rear, a handful of officials, parasitizing on the state of war, are establishing an authoritarian political regime in Ukraine similar to Putin’s."
Why are they doing this? Because they have started elections. Not us. The authorities," Poroshenko believes.
