In the Kherson region, five children fell through the ice, two were rescued, and three are still being searched for.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on Telegram.
"In the Velykooleksandrivska community, four children who were walking on the frozen river fell through the ice. A 16-year-old girl saw this. She rushed to help the children and also fell into the water. Fortunately, caring people were able to rescue her and one of the girls," the message said.
The girls are suffering from severe hypothermia. They are currently receiving the necessary medical assistance.
"The other children — a girl and two boys — are still being searched for. The youngest is only nine years old," Prokudin noted.
