Zelenskyy announced personnel changes in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, to consider appointing Brigadier General Serhiy Holubtsov as Deputy Commander of the Air Force.

This was reported with reference to the president’s evening address.

According to Zelenskyy, today he held a meeting with Syrskyi. He noted that it is necessary to strengthen the Air Force of the Armed Forces, particularly the military aviation.

"I instructed the Commander-in-Chief to negotiate with Brigadier General Serhiy Holubtsov and report on the possibility of making appropriate personnel changes in the Air Force, and to consider appointing Brigadier General Holubtsov to the position of Deputy Commander of the Air Force," the president stated.

What is known about Serhiy Holubtsov

Serhiy Holubtsov holds the position of Aviation Commander of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

From 2011 to 2015, Holubtsov served as the commander of the 114th Tactical Aviation Brigade.

In 2022, he was appointed as the commander of the "Center" Air Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On February 28, 2022, Holubtsov received the rank of Brigadier General.

He was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III degree (2022) and the Order of Danylo Halytsky (2012).
