Russian military forces have approached Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region closely.
This was reported by the head of the Kupyansk Military Administration, Andriy Besedin, on Ukrainian television.
According to him, the Russian army is very close along the entire front line - from the north and south, constantly shelling the city with various types of weapons.
"The current situation is very difficult and critical. This concerns the front line, safety, social and critical infrastructure. Besides safety, weather conditions are complicating things for us. Our communal services are working 24/7 to preserve multi-storey buildings, as a large number of residents are absent. Freezing of systems inside the buildings is occurring," he emphasized.
