
The High Anti-Corruption Court approved a plea agreement with former member of parliament, head of the Odesa District Council of Odesa region, Vitaliy Barvinenko. He was sentenced to 3 years of suspended imprisonment.
This was reported by the press service of the High Anti-Corruption Court, without specifying the name of the person involved.
According to "Slovo i Dilo", it is about Barvinenko, who was released from the main punishment with a probation period of 3 years.
«On February 20, 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court approved a plea agreement in the case regarding abuse of power by a former member of the Parliament of Ukraine, which caused serious consequences for the state interests protected by law. The former deputy compensated for the damages caused. He was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment with the application of the provisions of Part 2 of Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state authorities for 1 year and a fine. According to the terms of the agreement, the accused also undertakes to transfer 2,503,000 UAH to support the army», the court informs.
