Russian special services have intensified information diversions aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation in Ukraine. Russian information and psychological operations are focused on dividing society and spreading protest moods, using bot farms, especially actively through TikTok and Telegram.
On one hand, the enemy spreads fake news about alleged riots in different regions of our country, on the other hand, they offer money for participation in rallies organized by Moscow. The activity of the enemy was recorded by the Security Service of Ukraine.
"The SSU warns of new attempts by Russian special services to destabilize the socio-political situation in Ukraine through the intensification of information diversions. The Security Service records a significant activation of Russian special services in conducting information and psychological special operations in Ukraine," the statement noted.
Recently, according to the SSU, the number of hostile information diversions aimed at dividing society and artificially spreading protest moods has sharply increased. For this, Russian special services massively use social networks.
"For provocations, Russian special services have engaged the full potential of their bot farms and massively use controlled groups and fake accounts in popular messengers and social networks, especially actively in TikTok and Telegram," reported the SSU.
With the help of social networks, the enemy spreads fakes about allegedly growing protest moods in Ukraine, and "street riots" are already being recorded in different regions of the country. Simultaneously, Russian special services attempt to create the corresponding picture: they call on citizens to mass actions to disrupt public order and the constitutional system, offering money for participation in rallies.
"The Security Service takes all necessary response measures and works through existing and potential threats to Ukraine’s national security. The SSU appeals to citizens to be vigilant and not to respond to hostile provocations that Russia uses to attempt to undermine the internal situation in our country. We remind you that actions aimed at forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power (especially under certain restrictions set by the Law of Ukraine ’On the Legal Regime of Martial Law’) contain signs of a crime under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides a punishment of up to 10 years in prison," the Service warned.
The SSU urged Ukrainians to remember: only through unity has the Ukrainian people effectively resisted Russian aggression. They expressed hope that this unity will not be undermined by the enemy, no matter what it does.
