A draft resolution regarding the termination of parliamentary powers of People’s Deputy Iryna Kormyshkina, who is suspected of illegal enrichment, reports the official website of the parliament.
As stated in the draft resolution, this document was submitted for the parliament’s consideration by members of the committee on rules, parliamentary ethics, and organization of the Rada’s work.
It is proposed to terminate Kormyshkina’s parliamentary powers in connection with her personal statement on renouncing her parliamentary mandate.
Earlier, on October 16, 2024, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) reported the suspicion of illegal enrichment of the current People’s Deputy of Ukraine. It was reported that this concerns Iryna Kormyshkina.
According to the investigation, in 2021-2022, the People’s Deputy acquired assets exceeding official income and savings for this period by more than 20 million hryvnias. The unjustified assets, which were received as funds, were later used by the deputy through a legal entity to purchase a house near the city of Odesa, where she resides.
On February 21, it became known that the deputy submitted a statement on renouncing her mandate.
Publicly, Kormyshkina has not commented on this case so far.
