Budanov revealed how much a day of war against Ukraine costs the Kremlin

The Head of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that Russia is spending nearly a billion dollars daily on the war. At the same time, despite significant expenses, Russia has sufficient mobilization resources to continue military actions.

Budanov reported this in an interview with "Ukrinform." He emphasized that each day of the war against Ukraine is very costly for the Kremlin.

"This is a very expensive war overall. A day of war costs them slightly less than a billion – these are enormous expenses. As for human potential, again, one should not deceive oneself; the calculated mobilization resource of the Russian Federation allows them to continue acting. However, the pace and number of casualties – yes, they consider this," said the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Regarding negotiations, Budanov stressed that there is a significant difference between a truce and peace.

He noted that for Russia, the strategy of "carrot and stick" is important, where they try to exert pressure on Ukraine and offer attractive financial conditions to engage other participants. However, according to him, achieving a quick peace with Russia is impossible.

"Of course, the carrot and stick strategy, as they say. They will always act like this: exert pressure on us and offer various financially attractive things to other parties involved. It has always been like this, and nothing will change for them. Here’s another issue – a truce or peace. These are completely different things. Achieving a quick truce, I can personally say, is basically possible. Achieving quick peace – no," explained the head of the intelligence directorate.
