British intelligence confirmed a successful counterattack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Pokrovsk
Russian forces have concentrated their main attacks in the Kursk region, which has opened opportunities for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to conduct counterattacks in other sections of the front.
This is reported by the British Ministry of Defence on X (Twitter).
According to British intelligence, the Russian army is increasing pressure on Ukrainian forces in the Kursk salient from the west, north, and east. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold an area of about 300 square kilometers in this region.
The department notes that compared to the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, the occupiers are conducting fewer offensive operations on other front sections. For instance, in the area of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, Ukrainian troops have carried out several counterattacks near Pishchane, Vdale, Shevchenko, and south of the T-0506 logistical highway. Intelligence emphasized: "Opportunities for Ukrainian offensive actions have improved due to the reduction in the number of ground attacks by Russia. Russian supply lines towards Pokrovsk have also been weakened due to attacks by Ukrainian drones."
