The NOVA company, owner of the largest private postal operator "Nova Poshta", is officially entering the energy services market. This has become possible due to its subsidiary company obtaining a license to supply electricity.
This was announced on March 14 in the press service of "Nova Poshta". The license was issued by the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NCREPU), and it was noted that this process took about two months.
"The energy company of the NOVA group has received a license to supply electricity. Now "Nova-Energy" will be able not only to meet the needs of "Nova Poshta" but also to enter the open electricity market," the statement said.
The production of electricity by the NOVA company began last year, creating the "Nova-Energy" company in April 2024. It was reported at the time that the company would engage in regular energy generation, including electricity from solar and gas sources.
In January 2025, "Nova Poshta" commissioned a power plant with a capacity of 1 MW, located on the roof of its central terminal in Kyiv. The company noted that the project cost was 14 million hryvnias, and its expected payback period is three years.
On March 3, a second power plant with a capacity of 700 kW was launched, but it is planned to double it with the installation of a second phase of solar panels. It is located on the territory of "Nova Poshta’s" terminal in Kyiv. The project cost is 13.5 million hryvnias.
In addition, NOVA holds licenses for fuel trading and began diesel fuel sales in small wholesale on the open market to agricultural enterprises in September. For this, the company purchased tank trucks and signed contracts with major suppliers. In 2024, it was announced that the company plans to increase sales to 1.5 million liters of fuel per month by the end of December.
