Russia launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine: 75 "Shaheds" were destroyed
The Russian army carried out a massive drone attack on Ukraine, launching 171 UAVs. Air defense systems were active in many regions.
This was reported by Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"On the night of March 20, the enemy launched an attack with 171 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other decoy drones of various types," the message says.
The occupiers launched drones from the directions of Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda (Crimea).
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defence Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 8:30, the destruction of 75 Shahed-type strike UAVs and drones of other types has been confirmed," the military noted.
Air defence systems were active in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson regions.
In addition, 63 enemy decoy drones were lost location-wise.
