In the southeast of the Sumy region, Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have become more active. Ukrainian defenders are responding swiftly to these threats.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, during a telethon.

Russian forces are attempting to break through the border towards Novenke and Zhuravka, but Ukrainian defense units repeatedly stop their attempts.

Andriy Demchenko reported that the enemy uses small assault groups in attempts to cross the border, but Ukrainian military forces destroy these groups almost immediately, either on the approaches to the border or immediately after crossing it.

For this, artillery means, drones, and other modern technologies are actively used to quickly neutralize enemy forces and prevent Russians from concentrating on Ukrainian territory.

Particular attention should be paid to the activation of sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRG), which are actively operating in border areas. Earlier, most enemy SRGs were recorded in the north of the Sumy region, where they attempted to penetrate the territory of Ukraine to carry out sabotage attacks on the positions of Ukrainian military.

However, over time the situation has changed, and these groups have now started appearing in the southeast of Sumy, trying to cross the state border and attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Demchenko, the Defence Forces of Ukraine are responding quickly and effectively to these threats, preventing the enemy from making significant breakthroughs.
