"Ukrzaliznytsia" is recovering for the fourth day after a cyberattack

At "Ukrzaliznytsia," the fourth day of dealing with the aftermath of a large-scale cyberattack on the company’s online infrastructure continues. Due to this, the carrier’s online services remain unavailable, and tickets are currently sold only for the next two days and only at railway ticket offices. Due to these inconveniences, the company promises on-board compliments to passengers and free waiting in paid lounges.

As reported by the company, as of 8:00 on March 25, it has not yet been possible to restore the online services. "We hope to be on the home stretch of resource recovery very soon," assured the representatives of the railway company.

Meanwhile, ticket offices and other railway workers are operating in an enhanced mode. Helpers, known as railway "angels" (easily recognizable by their orange clothing), are also available at stations to assist passengers with any queries.

"Tickets are being sold through ticket offices for the nearest dates – March 26 and 27. We recommend passengers, if possible, to come for tickets outside of peak hours. The best time to purchase tickets is from 09:00 to 11:00 and from 14:30 to 16:30," stated "Ukrzaliznytsia."

In addition, the company has prepared an on-board compliment for all holders of paper tickets purchased after March 22. Furthermore, they will be able to use the paid waiting rooms at the country’s stations for free.
