In Zakarpattia, two police officers were dismissed due to their involvement in the investigation of the case of the fugitive Komarnytskyi

The National Police of Ukraine announced the dismissal of two employees of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Zakarpattia region due to their involvement in illegal activities.

According to the information, SSU investigators have already announced suspicions to them. In addition, the head of the territorial department was also dismissed.

The National Police stated that this was the result of large-scale search measures regarding Denys Komarnytskyi, in which the Strategic Investigations Department also participated. The reaction to the violation of the law was immediate and principled: dismissal from the police force and announcement of suspicion.

"We condemn any manifestations of dishonesty. The zero-tolerance policy applies with no exceptions. The Strategic Investigations Department will continue to act within the law and principles of openness and transparency. Anyone who betrays their oath and tarnishes the police epaulettes will be held accountable," the statement reads.

The police also emphasized that they will continue to cooperate with anti-corruption bodies and take necessary measures to cleanse their ranks of those who have violated the law.
