Bribe in cryptocurrency: a SBGS employee exposed for bribing a law enforcement officer
NABU and SAPO exposed an officer of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine who attempted to "settle an issue" using cryptocurrency.
The official transferred 355 thousand US dollars in USDT cryptocurrency through an intermediary to a law enforcement officer in order for the latter to "turn a blind eye" to his illegal actions.
The amount was fully received in the intermediary’s crypto wallet, later converted into cash, and handed over to the recipient.
Now the issue will have to be resolved elsewhere – in court.
