
On the night of April 2, Russian troops launched an attack on Ukraine using strike drones. Air defence forces shot down 41 "Shahed" out of 74, with two dozen drones lost location-wise.
This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the enemy strikes, the regions of Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Odesa suffered.
The enemy army started another air attack around 8:00 PM on April 1.
Overall, during the night, the enemy launched an attack with 74 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Russian cities Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
"As of 9:00 AM, the destruction of 41 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (and other types of drones) has been confirmed in the north, south, and east of the country. 20 enemy decoy drones were lost location-wise (without negative consequences). As a result of the Russian attack, the regions of Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Odesa were affected," noted the Air Forces.
