Former servicewoman Olena Lubenska shared a story about how a bus driver in Lviv insulted her when she presented her combatant ID for free travel.
This was reported with reference to Lubenska’s post.
As the defender noted, she boarded the bus in the center of Lviv. The driver was collecting fares, and her turn came.
«I showed the driver my combatant ID and said I have a combatant ID. He nodded, and I began to ascend to the cabin. The man (driver, – Ed.) said: «What kind of combatant ID do you have? Who are you, where did you get it, and where did you buy it?» I thought it was a joke and calmly replied that yes, I was in the war», – Lubenska recounted.
The driver immediately stated that he would check the documents and contact the Security Service of Ukraine and other authorities. «She thinks she’s a combatant», – the bus driver stated, according to the defender.
After this, Lubenska began filming the driver, capturing the conflict with him on video.
The defender emphasized that such treatment of military personnel is unacceptable and that society’s tolerance should be greater. «It hurts that a full bus of people watched silently», – the defender noted.
