On Monday, April 7, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Andriy Melnyk to a new position. He became the permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN.
This is stated in presidential decree No. 215/2025. From June 2023 to December 2024, the diplomat served as the ambassador to Brazil. Prior to this, Melnyk held the position of ambassador to Germany.

It is worth noting that Andriy Melnyk began working as Ukraine’s representative to the UN, replacing Serhiy Kyslytsya, back in December last year. However, the official decree was signed only today.
