The National Anti-Corruption Bureau did not allow former State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Oleksiy Takhtay, who is suspected of receiving unlawful benefits and legalizing assets, to travel abroad.
Such a decision was made by an NABU detective on March 12, which the defence side of the suspect decided to appeal in court, reports "Slovo i Dilo".
As Takhtay’s lawyer noted, the NABU detective refused to allow the suspect to travel to Spain to participate in an international business conference and to conduct business negotiations with potential clients and partners of Globus Bank, as well as negotiations on attracting funding for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The defence filed a complaint against the NABU detective’s decision, but the High Anti-Corruption Court refused to consider it. As a result, Takhtay’s lawyer filed an appeal against this decision. However, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court agreed with the court of first instance.
"Leave the appeal without satisfaction. The decision of the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court dated March 17, 2025, on the refusal to open proceedings on the complaint remains unchanged," the decision of the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court dated April 1 states.
