Murder of a 19-year-old boy in Ivano-Frankivsk: a third teenager has been charged

The police of Prykarpattia have accused a third teenager suspected of the brutal murder of a 19-year-old man on the outskirts of Ivano-Frankivsk near the Vovchynets Hills. Two other underage suspects have already been arrested by court order.

A preventive measure for the third suspect will be chosen shortly. This was reported on April 17 by the official website of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

It is known that the suspect is 15 years old. Two other possible accomplices are 14 years old.

Investigators charge the three teenagers with committing intentional murder by prior conspiracy by a group of persons with particular cruelty, i.e., especially serious crime, as provided for in paragraphs 4 and 12, Part 2, Article 115 of the Criminal Code.

It should be reminded that the body of the 19-year-old victim, with apparent signs of violent death, was found by police around 2:00 AM on April 16.

The murder suspects were identified by law enforcement within minutes.

The regional police department reported that the minors likely pre-planned the murder. They deceived the victim and lured him to the forest park zone. Descending from the Vovchynets Hills, the criminals inflicted numerous stab wounds on the 19-year-old, stole personal property, and attempted to hide the body in the forest.
