In the village of Lalovo in the Mukachevo district of the Zakarpattia region, a grenade explosion occurred. As a result, two men died.
This was reported by the regional police. According to preliminary information, on April 17, a 46-year-old resident of Berehove contacted the police.
She reported that she found her husband and her brother dead in a house in Lalovo. Law enforcement officers immediately went to the scene.

During the investigation, it was found that the deceased were a 45-year-old local resident and a 46-year-old resident of Berehove — who had been drinking alcohol together the night before. At a certain point, one of them, presumably, carelessly pulled the pin from an F-1 grenade. As a result of the explosion, both men were fatally injured.
At the scene, the police found parts of the ammunition — including a lever and a pin ring. Local residents confirmed that on the night of April 16, they heard a loud sound similar to an explosion, but did not contact the police.
The case was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — part 1 of article 115 with a note "obvious murder" and part 1 of article 263 (illegal handling of ammunition). The investigation is ongoing.
A response team, criminalists, explosives technicians, and dog handlers worked at the scene.
