On the eve of Easter, one of the largest prisoner exchanges between Ukraine and Russia took place. 277 warriors returned home.

246 defenders were returned as part of the prisoner exchange, and an additional 31 individuals were freed outside the exchange, reports the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Among those freed are defenders from the Mariupol garrison, national guardsmen, naval servicemen, Territorial Defence Forces fighters, the State Special Transport Service, the Air Assault Forces, and the Unmanned Systems Forces.

The majority of those returned are young people born after the year 2000. Today, a female military service member who has been in captivity since May 2022 will see her family,
– the agency reported.

Among the freed are 268 from the rank and file and sergeant level, and 9 officers were also returned. Those released from captivity defended against the enemy in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, and the city of Mariupol.
