In Kyiv, the SSU and the National Police uncovered another "scheme" involving land, in which a Kyiv City Administration official was implicated. This situation regarding the sale of permits for capital land was previously highlighted by the head of KCSA, Tymur Tkachenko. In his social media post, he noted that "unpunished evil continues to believe in its impunity and is not even afraid to take bribes at the workplace."

An inspector from the Department of Land Resources of the Kyiv City Administration was indeed unafraid and offered a businessman, who was trying to extend the lease of a land plot, a quick solution to the problem. The problem, as reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office l, lay in the fact that renewing the lease agreement was impossible due to violations in the use of the plot. On a site where nothing could be built or even fenced off, various objects appeared.

"The businessman, the tenant of the municipal land plot, appealed to the Kyiv City Council for the renewal of the lease agreement, the term of which was soon to expire. Thereafter, an inspector from the department of resources of the Kyiv City Administration conducted an inspection of the land plot and stated that it was being used not for its intended purpose, which poses a barrier to renewing the lease contract. According to the agreement, the man was not entitled to build or fence off the rented land. However, on the leased plot, a football field, a parking area with a barrier, and a non-residential building appeared," the prosecutor’s office explained.

But the inspector saw this as an opportunity to make money and offered the businessman to "turn a blind eye" to all that was revealed for 15 thousand dollars. As a "bonus", he promised hassle-free approval of the lease for 10 years in the land department of the Kyiv City Administration. However, he was detained right during the receipt of the bribe, currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided, and the article’s sanction provides for a punishment of up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. As reported by the "RBC-Ukraine" publication in its Telegram channel, according to information received by journalists from their own sources, the detainee is the chief inspector of the Department of Land Resources, Artem Lysenko.
