The US has proposed a final peace plan for Ukraine, - Reuters
This is reported by Reuters.
At the negotiations in Paris on April 17, Trump’s special envoy outlined key points:
- Permanent ceasefire and negotiations.
- Ukraine does not join NATO but may join the EU.
- Security is ensured by European peacekeepers.
- The US recognizes Crimea as Russian, and partially other occupied territories as well.
- Ukraine regains part of the Kharkiv region, the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station, and the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant.
- The Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant is controlled by the US, electricity is shared by both parties.
- Restoration of shipping on the Dnipro River and control over the Kinburn Spit.
- Economic cooperation between the US and Ukraine, development of natural resources.
- Ukraine will receive compensation.
- Sanctions on Russia are lifted, and the US cooperates with it in the energy sector.
