Local media reports indicate that this was not the first time the man set himself on fire. After the act, he allegedly got up and intended to go home, but was stopped by National Guardsmen.
"He has set himself on fire before. Not with gasoline, but he burned his beard and hair," media note.
Police have already added that the man is hospitalized.
"He calmly took a bottle of gasoline from a bag and poured it all over himself. After that, he took a cigarette, lit a match, and brought it to his face. It was a conscious act," witnesses of the tragedy recount.
