He noted that we have very good chances for this.

At the same time, Trump emphasized that the USA is "closer to one of the warring parties and perhaps not so close to the other. I would not like to specify which one we are closer to."

Moreover, he again did not rule out the possibility that the USA might cease participation in the negotiations to end the war.

"There will come a time when I will say: ’Okay, go ahead, continue to act foolishly.’ Sometimes I am close to this (to leaving the deal - Ed.), and then positive events happen," Trump stated.

In his opinion, the main difficulty in the negotiations lies in the fact that "there is enormous hatred between these two people" (presumably between Putin and Zelenskyy - Ed.).

The president also stated again that the concluded agreement on resources will allow the USA to recover funds already spent on supporting Ukraine.
