Situation on the front: 117 combat engagements occurred, the occupiers launched 1104 kamikaze drones

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a briefing as of 10:00 PM on May 15.

"In total, since the start of this day, there have been 117 combat engagements... Today, Russian invaders launched 42 airstrikes on our troops’ positions and populated areas, dropping 65 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 1104 kamikaze drones for strikes and conducted nearly four thousand shells," the report states.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy conducted six offensive actions near the settlements of Vovchansk, Hlyboke, and towards Vysoka Yaruha, Dovhenke, and Kudiivka, with one engagement still ongoing.

In the Kupyansk direction, the aggressor attempted to breach the defence towards Pishchane and in the areas of Zahryzove and Kruhliakivka. Ukrainian defenders stopped four enemy attacks.

In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders attacked the Defence Forces’ positions 15 times near Ridkodub, Kolodiazi, and towards Novoplatonivka, Novoserhiivka, Olhivka, Novyi Myr, and Zelena Dolyna. Two engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, our defenders repelled three attacks by the occupation forces near Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka, and Verkhnokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked our defenders’ positions seven times near Chasiv Yar and Kurdiumivka. Currently, one battle is ongoing.

The Russian troops assaulted Ukrainian units’ positions five times in the Toretsk direction in the areas of Toretsk, Dylyivka, Klishchiivka, and towards Bila Hora. Four enemy attacks have already been repelled by our defenders.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Malynivka, Nova Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Andriivka, Promin, Kotlyne, Kotliarivka, Troitske, and towards Zoria, Novoserhiivka, Popov Yar, Stara Mykolaivka. Our defenders stopped 35 enemy assault actions, with 12 more engagements ongoing.

Today, preliminary data indicates that 161 occupiers were neutralized in this direction, of which 90 are irrecoverable. Additionally, six vehicles, 11 motorcycles, 12 UAVs, two electronic warfare dug-in means, a satellite communication terminal, and a "Murom-M" observation station were destroyed. Furthermore, a tank, a gun, and two vehicles belonging to the Russians were damaged.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy attempted 14 times to breach our defenders’ defence in the areas of Bahatyr, Kostyantypil, Pryvilne, and Vilne Pole. Four engagements are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy launched airstrikes with unguided air missiles on Vysoke and Zaliznychne, but did not conduct offensive actions.

In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repelled three enemy assaults in the areas of Mali Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, and Stepove. Novoyakovlivka and Mali Shcherbaky were subjected to airstrikes.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, our defenders stopped one attempt by the enemy to approach our positions.

In the Kursk direction, 13 battles have occurred since the start of the day, with one still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched 9 airstrikes, dropping 13 guided bombs, and conducted 206 artillery shelling (eight of which were with MLRS).

"Today, it is worth noting the soldiers of the 5th separate mechanized brigade ’Velykyi Luh’ and the 40th separate coastal defence brigade, who effectively destroy the enemy, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine summarized.
