During negotiations in Istanbul, the Ukrainian and Russian delegations agreed on a prisoner exchange in the format of "1000 for 1000". Ukraine has already begun processing the lists of individuals who will be returned to their homeland.
This was reported by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Vadym Skibitskyi, during a briefing.
"The Russian side has agreed to conduct an exchange of 1000 individuals. Starting today, we are working on developing the lists of individuals who will return home," Skibitskyi noted.
He highlighted that "we have a good experience of working with the Russian side" in matters of prisoner exchange.
"Therefore, we will do everything possible to ensure that every citizen of Ukraine returns home. We will wait for them and continue to cooperate with the Russian side," added the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
