In Lviv, a scandal involving a National Guard veteran and the TRC has erupted

In Lviv, a former National Guard serviceman claimed that representatives of the TRC kidnapped and beat him. The military institution has already started an investigation into this matter.

This was reported by Lviv Regional TRC and SS.

In the morning of that day, a video appeared online in which the man claims that he had served in the National Guard for the past three years and had recently been discharged due to health reasons.

According to him, on the evening of May 16 in Lviv, he was stopped by a minibus in which, presumably, there were five employees of the Sykhiv TRC.

They beat him without explanation, pulled him into the vehicle, and continued beating him on the head and back. After that, according to him, they drove him around the district, and after an hour, the TRC representatives asked for his information and threw him out onto the street.

Reaction of the military institution

The Lviv Regional TRC and SS commented on the video posted by the National Guardsman.

"An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident. We are verifying which servicemen of the RTRC and SS of Lviv region are involved in this case," the military institution noted.

If unlawful actions of the servicemen are confirmed, the TRC stated that the guilty parties will be held accountable according to the law.

"We are interested in clarifying all the details as soon as possible," they added at the center.
