Russia is ahead of Ukraine in the field of military drones, demonstrating a more systematic and comprehensive approach to their production and use on the front line.
This was stated by former member of parliament Yehor Firsov and volunteer Mariya Berlinska, who specializes in UAVs.
According to Firsov, a year and a half ago, Ukraine was among the leaders in the use of drones in combat conditions. The situation has changed — now Russia uses drones as part of an integrated strategy, combining reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and various types of drones — both day and night, as well as drones with fiber optic controls. Operators take into account weather conditions, wind direction, and operate in a coordinated manner.
Firsov believes that Russia has seized the initiative in the technological confrontation that the Ukrainian Armed Forces previously held.
Mariya Berlinska warned that the Russian Federation is approaching the capability to launch over a thousand strike drones per day. In her opinion, Moscow is implementing a targeted state policy in the field of military technologies, involving tens of thousands of engineers, and cooperating with countries such as China, Iran, and North Korea. Billions of dollars have been invested in the development and production of drones.
