The "DPR" authorities want to transform the destroyed cities into "tourist memory zones"

The authorities of the "DPR" are considering the possibility of preserving ruined urban areas to preserve the memory of the "tragic consequences of the attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

This idea was proposed on the sidelines of the economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" by the head of the "DPR," Denis Pushilin.

He mentioned several cities destroyed by the Russian army that could claim the dubious status of "tourist centers" in the spirit of the apocalypse: "Many people are familiar with everything related to, including heroic settlements; naturally, this will continue to attract interest among tourists to see what Avdiivka is, what Vuhledar is, what Artemivsk, formerly Bakhmut, and other settlements are."

The leader of the "DPR" acknowledged that there are many ruins in Donbas (which were living cities before 2022) for tourists.

"We have plans to create certain such sites, like the Pavlov House in Volgograd, it is possible to preserve an entire block so that it would be clear what people faced at different stages," said Pushilin.
