In Spain, Andriy Portnov was shot dead: the media writes about debts

On the morning of May 21, former Ukrainian politician Andriy Portnov was shot dead near a school in Madrid, Spain.

 EL PAIS released details of Portnov’s murder. Here’s what is known from the publication:

- The murder occurred around 9:15 AM.

- Portnov was shot five times (one of the shots, fatal, was to the head). The perpetrators were two or three individuals.

- The murder took place near the American School. However, the institution has not yet reported whether he is the father of any of the students.

- Portnov was sitting in the driver’s seat of a Mercedes when he was suddenly attacked by two or three assailants who shot him five times in the head and back.

- The police are not providing details about the type of weapon used, as the investigation has just begun.

- The murder is preliminarily believed to be related to a debt issue.
