The President of France announced an acceptable option for ending the war in Ukraine

France and China have a common goal of ending the war in Ukraine. This involves achieving a lasting and durable peace, which must begin with an immediate and unconditional ceasefire.

This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron after a phone conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. He shared his impressions of the talks with the leader of China on his social media page on X.

"We have the same goal regarding the war that Russia is waging in Ukraine: lasting and durable peace. This begins with an immediate and unconditional ceasefire," Macron wrote.

The French president published his post on the eve of his trip to Southeast Asian countries.

Emmanuel Macron also mentioned that his country will cooperate with China on a political solution capable of ensuring peace and security in the Middle East.

"We will work with China to prepare for the conference on a two-state solution in New York in June, which France is co-chairing along with Saudi Arabia," Macron stated.
