The Ukrainian military destroyed one of the most advanced Russian surface-to-air missile systems, the "Buk-M3." Its cost is 45 million dollars.
This was reported by the operational-strategic troop group "Khortytsia".
"An enemy surface-to-air missile system ’Buk-M3’ was destroyed on one of the key directions," the military reported.
According to their data, scouts from the artillery reconnaissance brigade "Black Forest" detected and corrected fire on the station of the enemy’s latest medium-range surface-to-air missile system "Buk-M3" with ammunition.
As reported by OSTG "Khortytsia", the enemy air defence asset was detected in position before conducting firings.
It should be noted that the "Buk-M3" SAM is one of the key air defence assets of the enemy, which is used to target air, ground, and sea targets.
Currently, the "Buk-M3" is the most advanced modification with an interception radius of up to 70 km. The approximate cost of such a SAM system is 45 million dollars.
