In Zhytomyr region, a 24-year-old man smuggled at least 14 conscription-age men across the border to Belarus.

This was reported by the press service of the police of Zhytomyr region.

Law enforcement officers learned about the "dealer" and caught him "red-handed." On March 5, during one of such trips, the police stopped a "Renault Megane" car in the Ovruch community. Three residents of different regions of Ukraine aged 21, 44, and 48 were in the car.

The driver was detained in accordance with the legal procedure. The police confiscated the car, mobile phone, and cash that the clients used to "pay for the road." Administrative materials were filed against the passengers by border guards and the incident was reported to the TRC.

According to law enforcement, the connection between the organizer and the clients was facilitated by so-called "coordinators." After preliminary agreements, intermediaries provided the perpetrator with the contact details of those wishing to use the "service." Its cost was 8,000 UAH.
