According to information from the Ukrainian military public DeepState, the Russians have entrenched themselves in the occupied territories of the Sumy region and aim to create a buffer zone there, commenting on the update of their map this evening.

"Russian troops managed to secure the line of Veselivka–Zhuravka–Novenkoye–Basivka, and they continue attempts to penetrate Bilovody. The situation remains difficult in Lokni," reports DS. According to their data, individual Russian groups have already entered Bilovody but were driven out.

In this area, "the enemy is using infantry and ATVs for quick attacks on assault positions."

"After the expulsion of Ukrainian troops from the Kursk region, Russia, as expected, seeks to create a ’buffer zone’ in the Sumy region — this is an obvious goal in the context of current events," the publication concludes.
