In Ukraine, the rules for fining for speeding may be significantly changed. Currently, fines are imposed only for speeding by 20 km/h or more, but deputies have submitted a bill that cancels the indulgence for lesser violations.
The bill provides for a fine of 340 hryvnias for speeding up to 10 km/h, as well as a fine of 680 hryvnias for speeding from 10 to 20 km/h.
Thus, it is proposed to introduce a gradation of fines depending on the degree of speeding, which should encourage drivers to adhere more strictly to traffic rules.
The document is currently being considered in the Verkhovna Rada.
