In the Uman TRC, a scheme of fictitious booking of conscripts was uncovered

The State Bureau of Investigations uncovered a scheme of fictitious reservation of conscripts for money in the Uman District TRC of the Cherkasy region. This was reported by the SBI.

It is indicated that the illegal mechanism had been operating since November 2024 in the territories of the Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions.

A resident of Kirovohrad region was looking for those willing to "postpone" mobilization for 7,000 dollars. He promised to ensure a six-month deferment through the formalization of fictitious fictitious booking in the relevant systems.

The SBI noted that the main "clients" were entrepreneurs.

On May 28, 2025, the intermediary was detained after receiving part of the payment. One of the clients had already received confirmation of the postponement in the official database.

During investigative actions, SBI employees conducted searches, seized documentation, and began reviewing all individuals who may have illegally used fictitious reservations. They are also identifying the circle of TRC officials who could have been involved in making illegal decisions.

The detainee was notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — receiving undue benefit for influencing the decision-making of a person authorized to perform state functions.

The article provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment.
