The total losses of the Russian Federation’s army since the beginning of 2025 have already exceeded 200,000 personnel. This indicates the enormous scale of the enemy’s losses and that none of their offensive operations are achieving their set goals.
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, emphasizing that Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy despite its attempts at advancement.
"200,000 personnel – the total losses of the enemy since the beginning of this year. I am grateful to every Ukrainian soldier for their professionalism. The fight continues. Glory to Ukraine!" he added.
The figure of over 200,000 lost personnel indicates the significant losses that the Russian Federation is incurring on the front just in 5 months.
This is a consequence of daily combat operations, the high intensity of enemy offensives, and the effective response by the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The eastern and northern sections of the front remain the most active, where the occupiers are vainly trying to advance.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian military forces continue to hold the defense, destroying not only the enemy’s manpower but also their equipment, depots, logistics, and command posts. Thanks to the resilience and coordination of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units, every enemy attempt results in new losses within their ranks.
